Start this amazing journey from Simikot in Nepal into Tibet on foot. The breathtaking adventure goes through spectacular scenery from the eastern Himalayas to the Tibetan plateau. In Tibet drive to the holy mountain of Mount Kailash (6,658 m/21,838 ft) to join the Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims on the short but strenuous circuit round this holy mountain.
There is also a 22 day tour to Lhasa, Mount Kailash and Kathmandu via Zhangmu. Another 3 week tour goes more directly to Mount Kailash from Simikot, and there are numerous short treks to Everest Base Camp via Cho Oya and Central Tibet.
